Job Description
Research Engineer
- Conduct security research to gain in-depth understanding of the security posture of software and infrastructure in Sea
- Perform technical analysis on various systems through vulnerability research, code audit, black box testing, reverse engineering, etc
- Design and build in-house tools and solutions for security automation and enhancement
- Provide insights and suggestions to other teams to prepare against potential threats
- Carry out application, network, systems and infrastructure penetration testing
- Review physical security and perform social engineering tests where appropriate
- Keep up to date with latest testing and ethical hacking methods
- Deploy the testing methodology and collect data
- Report the findings to a range of stakeholders
- Make suggestions for security improvements
- Strong experience in infrastructure or application-level vulnerability testing and penetration testing
- Hands-on experience in security systems including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc
- Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Self-motivated, good learner and adaptor
- Strong sense of responsibility, work conscientiously and attentively
- Minimum 3 years of experience with deep interest and passion in IT Security
