What the role is:We are looking for passionate candidates to be part of a dynamic team that strives for continuous improvements and innovation to support forensic investigations in the area of microtraces examination.What you will be working on:

• Provide quality and efficient forensic science services for casework in the area of microtraces (eg. paint, glass, fibres, etc).
• Conduct forensic examination of exhibits, including operation of instruments used in analysis, submitted to the laboratory by law enforcement agencies.
• Prepare forensic reports and provide expert testimony in court for the administration of justice.
• Assist in/Lead research projects to develop and advance the laboratory\'s methodology, technology and quality assurance.
• Attend crime scenes.

What we are looking for:Job Requirements

• Background in Chemistry, Forensic Science, or a relevant field.
• Comfortable with performing examinations under light microscopes.
• Understanding of underlying theories and principles of common analytical instruments such as FT-IR spectrometer, Raman spectrometer and Scanning Electron Microscope. Prior hands-on experience in operation of these instruments would be advantageous.
• Highly motivated with a strong desire to serve the administration of justice.
• Good critical-thinking and analytical thinking skills, with attention to details.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Good oral presentation skills, with the ability to convey scientific concepts and findings to non-technical audiences.
• Able to work both independently and also to collaborate with others.
