What the role is:Ranked top 50 most attractive employers in Singapore - The Straits Times Singapore\'s Best Employers 2023 The appointee must have good interpersonal skills, willing to learn on the job, equipped with positive thinking so as to handle stress while under pressure, and most importantly, be a team player. Besides undertaking administrative duties to support workshop facilities and maintenance of equipment, the appointee will also be assisting academic staff in teaching, guiding and supervising student projects whilst ensuring safety regulations are followed. There will also be abundant opportunities to support industry consultancy projects.What you will be working on:Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 To housekeep lab facilities by carrying out regular lab maintenance and ensure the safety of the labs according to safety guidelines. \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct lab experiments for both PET and CET courses. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with academic staff in in developing lab experiments, guide FYP students in their project works whilst ensure safety regulations are followed. \xe2\x80\xa2 Liaise with vendors, evaluate quotations and make purchases for lab equipment, consumables and services. \xe2\x80\xa2 Support Consultancy projects. \xe2\x80\xa2 Take on Admin roles at a school level possibly in (i.e. Procurement team, asset management etc)What we are looking for:Requirements: \xe2\x80\xa2 Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification in a related discipline with at least 5 years\' hands-on experiences working on Materials Testing relating to Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering. \xe2\x80\xa2 Competent in MS Office 365, Word, Excel and Power point Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
