The Service Ambassador plays a key role in supporting crowd control and service operations at Beach Station. This includes facilitating smooth guest flow, ensuring a high standards of customer service quality, assisting with boarding processes, and managing vehicular and pedestrian movement in critical areas. The role requires professionalism, a service-oriented mindset, and strong interpersonal and communication skills to enhance the overall guest experience at Sentosa.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:
Ensure that Company policies and procedures are strictly followed.
Deliver consistently high-quality and professional customer service to both guests and staff.
Communicate with guest and offer help, advice, and guidance as needed.
Address and resolve guest enquiries and complaints promptly and courteously, escalating when necessary.
Manage crowd flow and guest movement at the bus bay and other key areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
Assist Bus Captains with boarding of guests including facilitation of rear door boarding.
Provide directions and assistance to guests during crisis or emergency situations, supporting evacuation or crowd management plans.
Undertake any additional reasonable duties at the request of your Site Manager.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, CONDITIONS SPECIFICATIONS:
This position involves shift work and work on weekends. You will be required to work such hours as deemed necessary to provide appropriate coverage.
Be able to demonstrate a good track record of customer service, demonstrate compassion and empathy for persons with disabilities.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and staff from diverse backgrounds and languages.
Presentable and professional demeanour, serving as a frontline representative and ambassador of Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC).
Trained in conflict resolution and able to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
SAFETY AND COMPANY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adhere to all Tower Transit and SDC policies and procedures.
To report to your SM any injury, collision or dangerous occurrence that has taken place, or concerns regarding health, safety, and security issues.
Assist in identifying and managing health and safety issues as they apply to the workplace and workplace activities of employees and stakeholders.
Accountable and responsible for ensuring that the working environment is safe and that employees, including contractors, are protected from hazards and comply with Company policies and procedures.
Enforce policy, procedures and rules and employee compliance.
Report hazards which cannot be corrected within the delegated authority of the position.
Active involvement in all safety and health programmes and activities.
Participate in desk-top and simulated emergency drills as and when required.
Promote safety and health awareness generally.
