What the role is:
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) plays a critical role in keeping Singapore safe and secure with our mission to prevent, deter and detect crime. As a Service Designer at SPF, you will play a crucial role in reimagining and enhancing our service experiences in application development. You will work closely with various units to identify pain points, develop user-centric solutions, and implement service improvements that benefit both the public and our officers. You will be placed under the Management Executive Scheme
What you will be working on:
As a Service Designer, you will report to Assistant Director, Product Development Division and be responsible for defining user experience vision, roadmap, and design standards for consistency across SPF projects. You will also be responsible for: o Conducting design research to gain deep insights into user needs and pain points o User journey mapping, Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) analysis, User shadowing and contextual inquiry, stakeholder interviews and focus group discussions o Conceptualizing innovative solutions using user experience design methodologies and tools o Wireframing and prototyping o Planning and conducting usability testing to ensure our products meet user needs o Identifying project refinements and iterations based on user feedback and testing o Gathering quantitative and qualitative user feedback o Recommending alternative approaches for logical product flows to enhance user experience o Monitoring project progress and participating in multiple projects throughout your tenure
What we are looking for:
We are looking for an individual who can work effectively in cross-functional team to be part of our Product Development Division. Requirement o Field of studies in Human Computer Interactions, Design, Psychology, Computer Sciences, or related disciplines o Good to have UX experience. o Good understanding of web design and development, with a portfolio demonstrating user-centric design solutions. o Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team with strong organizational, presentation, and listening skills. o Proficient with popular design tools and software such as Balsamiq, Axure, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc. o Experience in Agile and UX development environments, and familiarity with frontend development/web technologies like Microsoft Power Apps, HTML/HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and Responsive Web Design is an added advantage Short-listed candidates will be notified within two weeks after the closing date for applications.
