POSITION: Service Engineer - Robotic
LOCATION: Singapore
REPORTING LINE: Service Manger - Asia Pacific
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: You work as part of a small but professional field service engineer team to provide support, maintenance, service to our customers based in Malaysia and Singapore. Opportunities to interact with service team and customers based within South East Asia (SEA) region.
Main Responsibility:

  • To provide Staubli's customers with repair services either in-house or on-site, alongside trouble shooting, maintenance, service and basic programming for Staubli robots on scheduled or emergency basis.
  • Diagnose, repair and maintain both 4- and 6-axis robot systems and associated controllers.
  • Respond to customer service issues by phone, electronic means as required.
  • Document Staubli robot and related equipment performance, reporting the results for the purpose of troubleshooting in our in-house system.
  • Repair, Upgrade and Restart the robot systems at customer sites when required.
  • Complete detailed Field Service reports for all customer calls, document any service interventions in Staubli CRM database and complete all related administration.
  • Coordinate responsibilities, activities and schedule with Field Service Team Leader/Manager and Technical Manager to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Promote Staubli services, continuously improve customer relationship and report leads to service sales.
  • Liaise with the relevant department in Staubli France for the return of parts under warranty.
  • Maintain full visibility of stock including spare parts, ensuring that the appropriate administration is completed, and relevant IT systems are updated in a timely manner.
  • Learn Staubli's robot programming language to be able to provide simple support and instruction
Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications
  • A relevant Engineering Qualification - Diploma or Degree
  • Minimum 3 years automation and/or Technical Service experience
  • Experience in electrical/electronic and mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance as well as repair and refurbishment.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical drawings and related technical documents.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good soft skills of communication and problem solving
  • Being comfortable to engage, liaise and network with all levels
  • Able to build strong customer relationships and display initiative
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience of working with CRM would be advantageous.
  • Able to travel within SEA at short notice.
  • Willing to undertake Singapore/Malaysia travel up to 50% in a month
  • Occasionally, may be required to response to customer calls outside standard working hours
