As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for executing service work with low to medium complexity according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. Reporting to Regional Customer Service Manager, delivering quality customer service to satisfy customers. In close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB. This position is based in Singapore.

Your responsibilities

  • Delivering high quality service in compliance with service procedures
  • Identifying and attending to system and user problems arising from customers within short notice
  • Building up the strong relationship with customer; identifying and establishing relationships with potential customers, understand customer needs and transform/develop them into business opportunities
  • Performing robotics system Preventive or Corrective Maintenance
  • Performing Robot and PLC logic programming, testing, and troubleshooting as well as robot studio simulation
  • Having an analytical ability to communicate with R&D team of ABB to identify root cause of issues
  • Providing product training to customer
  • Collaborating with service sales to support customer on system and product enquiries
Your background
  • Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with minimum 2 year working experience in automation environment
  • Experience in robotics would be an added advantage
  • Understanding of fundamental engineering principles
  • Good command of English and strong communication
  • Experience in customer coordination will be preferred
  • Is a self-starter, can manage multiple tasks, multiple function and work effectively with minimal supervision
