As a Service Engineer for Robotics & Discrete Automation business, you will be responsible for building up the strong relationship with customer, identifying and establishing relationships with potential customers, understand customer needs and transform/develop them into business opportunities. Reporting to Regional Customer Service Manager, you will be communicating with customer on optimization of automation system to deliver the value that ABB can provide. This position is based in Singapore.

Your responsibilities

  • Delivering high quality service in compliance with service procedures
  • Identifying and attending to system and user problems arising from customers within short notice
  • Performing robotics system preventive or corrective maintenance
  • Performing Robot and PLC logic programming, testing and troubleshooting as well as Robot studio simulation
  • Having an analytical ability to communicate with R&D team of ABB to identify root cause of issues
  • Providing product training to customer
  • Collaborating with sales to support customer on system and product enquiries
  • Commissioning of Robot System
Your background
  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with minimum 2 year working experience in automation environment
  • Experience in robotics would be an added advantage
  • Understanding of fundamental engineering principles
  • Experience in customer coordination will be preferred
  • Managing multiple tasks, multiple function and working effectively with minimal supervision
  • Good command of English and strong communication
