Job Description

We are representing an international energy trading firm for a Settlements and Clearing Analyst position based in Singapore.

With a large focus on liaising with Japanese clients, the role requires proficiency in Japanese.

Role responsibilities include: Clearing

• Monitoring and reconciliation of daily clearing activities, approval of margin and invoice payments
• Verification of monthly exchange/clearinghouse, clearing banks, and broker invoices
• Issuance and reconciliation of spot exchange invoices
• Close collaboration and coordination with other internal support functions with regards to clearing relevant topics and company-wide finance reporting
• Support the implementation of new products including appropriate process documentation according to audit and compliance standards
• Active monitoring of market changes and regulatory initiatives as well as their impact on the clearing area

• Daily confirmation and settlement activities including Trade Checks between the confirmation or recap and the trading systems, as well as matching of confirmations from counterparties against internal systems
• Implementation of new markets and products including appropriate process documentation according to audit and compliance standards
• Work closely with internal and IT teams to enable the automation of confirmations as much as possible

• Bachelor's Degree
• Good knowledge about exchanges and clearing processes
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Back-Office role, with previous experience managing either projects or processes, would be an advantage
• Advanced knowledge of IT software (MS Office, Endur, SAP)
• Proficiency in Japanese to liaise with Japanese clients
