:Chemical Market Analytics (CMA), by OPIS, a Dow Jones Company is seeking a Research Analyst who will be responsible for global research, analysis and model building for the light olefins and derivatives markets. This role will promote an understanding of CMA forecasting methodology as well as foster learning and growth across an array of associated product areas. Key activities will be maintaining, updating, and expanding CMA model base, analysis and contribution to clients and market reports.Reporting Manager: Research and Analysis Associate DirectorYou will own and supportProvide weekly/monthly market pricing inputs into the global database as neededCoordinate with global colleagues to assure consistency of method and interpretationUpdate the charts and tables that get published in the report on a routine basis; own the responsibility to update the capacity and price databasePrepare top-class presentations for the product experts that will be used for client meetings, conferences, and other business development initiativesRespond to client questions and serve as a resource for client brainstorming/discussions as requiredInteract with market participants for price and news discovery focusing on certain products within OlefinsWork on supply-demand dynamics of the focus product - both short term & long termMeet clients and make insightful discussions/presentations on the outlook for concerned productsPromote Chemical Market Analytics expertise on the value chain and be responsible for the commercial growth of the serviceWhat we look from youA Chemical Engineering or Chemical Materials degree is preferredDemonstrated passion or interest in petrochemical industryExcellent oral and written communication skills in English.
