Job Description

\xc2\xb7 Provide the identified special needs pupils with behavioural support, social skills and academic as well as individual home-based support (emotional regulation, behavioural modification, social skills training) when necessary.

\xc2\xb7 Provide the school with a customised individual execution plan for the identified pupils. The plan should encompass 3 areas - Classroom behaviour, Social Skills & Academics. A weekly progress report on each pupil should also be submitted to the teacher-in-charge.

\xc2\xb7 Work with the teachers and parents to ensure effective implementation of the individual plan and social skills and routines learned.

\xc2\xb7 Create relevant and appropriate materials for each student based on their needs. Examples of materials include reward systems, routines and social stories, etc. Materials should be shared with the school before any implementation.

\xc2\xb7 Conduct ONE sharing session/workshop with the relevant school teachers and another session with the parents of the selected students. (Details to be confirmed at a later date)

Requirements

\xc2\xb7 Relevant qualifications in Special Education/Special Needs in children

\xc2\xb7 Relevant experience in working as a shadow teacher

\xc2\xb7 Intervention skills on specific issues (crisis intervention, stress, anxiety, aggression)

\xc2\xb7 Consultation skills

Working hours

\xc2\xb7 Mondays to Fridays: 7.30am to 1.30pm, inclusive of a 30 minutes lunch break

\xc2\xb7 180 hours in 2023 & 174 hours in 2024; the exact working schedules will be confirmed

\xc2\xb7 Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
