Develop a detailed migration plan, including timelines, resource requirements, and potential risks and mitigations.
Implement best practices and methodologies to migrate SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and custom solutions to the new environment.
Coordinate with the IT team to ensure the necessary infrastructure and hardware requirements are in place for the SharePoint 2019 deployment.
Perform data cleansing, mapping, and transformation activities to ensure data integrity and quality during the migration process.
Test and validate the migrated SharePoint environment to ensure functionality, accessibility, and performance.
Provide guidance and support to end-users during the migration process, including training and assistance in adapting to the new SharePoint environment.
Document the migration process, including any issues encountered, solutions implemented, and lessons learned.
Collaborate with the IT team to develop post-migration maintenance plans and provide ongoing support for the SharePoint 2019 environment.
Requirements
Proven experience as a SharePoint Administrator or SharePoint Consultant, with a focus on migration projects.
In-depth knowledge of SharePoint architecture, features, and capabilities, specifically with SharePoint 2019.
Strong understanding of SharePoint migration tools, such as SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT), Sharegate, Metalogix, or other third-party migration tools.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration and automation tasks.
Familiarity with SharePoint Online (Office 365) and hybrid environments is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve migration-related issues.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines.
