Lead, guide, coach and direct a team of Changeover team Technicians during office / non-office hours to perform changeover cleaning operations of the plant equipment used to manufacture Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and for manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients.
Focus on Safety and GMP Compliance as operational priorities and as performance measures that should be included in metrics.
Lead, direct and coach the team, including developing and communicating objectives, setting priorities, development plans and conducting performance reviews.
Act as stand in as Site Incident Commander and Operations for Organic Synthesis Plant, Environmental Treatment Plant, Tank Farm, Solvent Recovery and Waste Minimization in the absence of Operations Manager.
Accountable for ensuring Process Technicians perform their task in compliance to Environmental Health & Safety, cGMPs, GDP and all relevant plant policies and procedures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Engage and inspire the teams on performance expectations and coach the team to meet the expectations using Coaching Skill principles.

Know the processes and procedures, including the principles and practices of good data management (ALCOA}, and be able to guide, advise and coach the teams.
Be accountable for the Good Data Management and Data integrity understanding and performance of their team. I
Effectively monitor the actions of the teams. Ensure an active daily presence in the GMP work area to observe the work activity and practices within their role responsibilities. Note: any compliance deviations noted must be investigated in accordance with Site Standard Operating Procedures.
Be available to direct reports for real time escalations of any concerns or support needs
Be observant, investigate and report actions or behaviors that may negatively impact the desired outcome of the GMP process or activity.
Lead and support continuous improvement efforts, where applicable.
Be a role model to support a positive compliance culture.
Review the content of all Leader Led Conversations and, on an annual basis, conduct two \'Leader Led Conversations\' with their teams aimed at fostering a culture that supports compliance with procedures, including good data management.
Be vigilant for potential actions or behaviors that could result in breaches of GMP compliance or Data Integrity principles.
Ensure changeover team technicians support production activities when changeover cleaning activities are low.
Ensure the supervision of all activities performed by changeover technicians during non-office hours.
Ensure that the shop floor is in a constant state of regulatory compliance and inspection ready.
Ensure effective training of all the operations colleagues and compliance to SOPs and OJTs.
Ensure all Process Technicians perform their task in compliance to Environmental Health & Safety, cGMPs, and all relevant plant policies and procedures.
Assign operation task according to Manufacturing Standard Work (MSW) and Operation Standard Work (OSW) and ensure compliance.
Direct and guide Process Technicians to perform operation task, pre-campaign start up, change over cleaning to meet production plan.
Ensure the Process Technicians perform operation tasks, pre-campaign start up, changeover cleaning activities according to site procedures.
Review MSW and OSW for any delay and recommend or assign resources to carry out the improvement.
Liaise with other departments (QO, Engineering, Validation, EHS etc.) for support to ensure efficient operations.
Serve as the Site Incident Commander in the absence of Operations Manager.
Stand-in in the absence of Operations Manager
Investigate all processing and changeover cleaning deviations related to safety, alarms, operational issues and take immediate and preventive actions.
Ensure the team investigate any near missed incident or process deviation related to EHS and Quality.
Direct Process Technician to perform clearing of process equipment and perform check to confirmed permit to work are issue in a safe condition to carry out maintenance work.
Implement all relevant human resource policies and procedures in a fair & consistent manne.

Operation - for changeover improvements, supporting operation team to meet production targets in changeover cleaning adherence and campaign start-ups.
Technical Services - for support in changeover investigation, new and existingproducts changeover cleaning and cleaning limits (where applicable)
Supply Chain - for ensuring availability and constant supplying of cleaning solvents for production
Tank Farm - for waste disposal information pertaining to waste generated during operation and changeover cleaning.
Quality - for production campaign startup, cleaning validation, equipment release, cleaning improvements and production investigation/improvement
Engineering - for equipment readiness, equipment changeover cleaning improvement and production
investigation/improvement
Procurement - for new cleaning solvents supply
EHS - for performing safety review of changes in the cleaning processes and in safety related investigation
External Stakeholders:
Global team on changeover cleaning - for new cleaning methods/improvements/solvents/parameters and during changeover cleaning investigation/improvement
External vendors - for any adhoc testing supporting audit e.g microbial swab and testing.

Qualifications Diploma in a technical discipline or GCE \'O/A\' levels.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years\' relevant experience (supervisory experience preferred) in the pharmaceutical, chemical or petrochemical industry.
