Our Client is the largest autonomous common carrier globally, offering extensive geographic coverage. They aim to maintain and improve their current performance both locally and regionally of which they are seeking for a Shipping Analyst to be based at their HQ in Singapore.

Description

You will be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer directly. The majority of your responsibilities will include utilizing data to extract business insights, provide suggestions, and improve operational effectiveness by optimizing the deployment of the company\'s vessels.

Your responsibilities include:

• Optimize the deployment of vessels and design cargo flow strategies across regions including Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Gather, arrange, and analyze data to determine the most efficient and economical vessel deployment, accounting for factors like cargo demand, route selection, fuel efficiency, and port choices
• Propose optimal positioning of vessels between continents to enhance fleet efficiency.
• Collect, interpret, and analyze shipping data to detect patterns, trends, and potential areas for enhancement. Develop perceptive predictions and offer strategic suggestions to improve overall vessel activities.
• Monitor and evaluate vessel performance, pinpointing opportunities to streamline procedures and boost efficiency.
• Proactively recognize potential risks and obstacles linked to vessel deployment. Utilize data analysis to suggest effective strategies for risk reduction, ensuring punctual deliveries and minimizing disruptions.
• Keep updated with industry trends, global economic circumstances, and regulatory changes to make informed decisions that enhance shipping operations.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to generate insights aiding decisions about fleet deployment and network enhancement.

Profile

You should have a Diploma or a Degree in Data Science, Statistics or similar subject and have some years of related working experience. It is essential that you are proficient in data analysis, capable of comprehending intricate business matters, converting them into technical queries, deriving conclusions understandable by non-technical stakeholders, and proficiently delivering them to operational teams. You are required to possess strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
