Job Description

OBJECTIVE :Within the supply chain organization, the Shipping coordinator will focus on the efficient execution of all inbound and outbound shipments into and out from GDC Singapore. He/She shall be an instrumental figure in providing compliant and accurate documentation and information to our internal and external stakeholders as well as maintaining the highest level of SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality). This position will assist in advancing the regional transportation within our supply chain as a competitive advantage to our customersRESPONSIBILITIES :

• Co-ordination of all inbound and outbound shipments to and from GDC Singapore
• Preparation and provision of COO certifications from chambers
• Support freight invoice related matters such as creation and quotations to customers
• Support Regional Transportation in reaching KPI\'s in the following areas:

o Transportation cost within the region
o Transportation service and On Time Delivery to promised lead times

• Support and coordinate service provider implementation
• Serves as the contact and resolution figure for inaccurate and or damaged shipments
• Adhere to the guidelines and regulations in regard to Safety, Environment and Quality
• Maintain an effective working relationship with local, regional, and global resources to ensure the successful implementation of regional or global initiatives
• Maintain internal systems and records as required
• Focus on key transportation projects, outcomes, policies
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve supplier performance and add value to our customers
• Participate in regional Supply Chain projects and support global projects when needed
• Maintain progress reporting to Regional Transportation Manager - APAC
• Ongoing training as required
• Additional duties and responsibilities as required

Knowledge

• Excellent knowledge of INCOTERMS, Import / Export customs procedures for APAC / EU/ NAM region are essential
• Minimum 3 Years of Shipping documentation and booking experience (Air / Sea LCL/ FCL and Express Courier)
• Exposure and experience with 3PL environment
• Skillful MS Office user (mainly Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
• M3 knowledge preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to give feedback
• Strong knowledge of negotiation skills
• Thorough understanding of supply chain processes
• Thorough understanding in logistic and distribution processes
• Strong English communication skills both verbal and written
• Additional Languages are preferred
• Singaporean and Permanent residents only

Formal Education

• Min, Diploma Logistic Operations / Supply Chain Management

Experience

• 0 - 5 years of experience
