Job Description

We are a group of companies under the Lension Group with companies in Malaysia and Singapore.

We are looking for detail-oriented and proactive Shipping Executive. He or She needs to manage and coordinate the import/export of goods, which includes preparing and verifying shipping documents, liaising with logistics partners and government agencies, tracking shipments schedule, maintaining accurate record, updating inventory, and ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Key responsibilities

Documentation: Handle the full set of import/export documents, such as invoices, packing lists, COO, and bills of lading.

Coordination: Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, courier services, and other internal departments.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant shipping and customs regulations and maintain accurate records for audits.

Shipment management: Oversee the timely collection, delivery, and clearance of cargo.

Tracking and reporting: Track shipments, update relevant stakeholders on status, and prepare reports.

Problem-solving: Address any issues that arise, such as delays, lost or damaged items, and customer complaints.

Required skills and qualifications

Experience: Typically requires 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or import/export documentation.

Education: A minimum of GCE 'O' Levels may be sufficient.

Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with shipping software like TradeNet are beneficial.

Regulatory knowledge: Knowledge of Singapore Customs procedures and Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) is often necessary.

Soft skills: Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills are crucial for managing multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively.

Min/Max salary: 2,000-2,500 (depending on the experience)

Any allowance: Nil

Working hours / lunch break: 8am-5pm (Monday to Friday), lunch break: 1hr
