Shipping Team Lead

In this exciting role, you will be responsible to oversee and lead daily activities and roles involved in the administration of inbound materials transportation and outbound shipments in coordination with Distribution, Supply Chain Planning, and Raw Material Planning. STP R&F GBS Team, Customer Care Support Office, Customer Care Front Office, Regional Road transportation Hub and 4PL/LLP Air & Sea with the objective to optimize transport costs while providing the necessary level of service to meet operational requirements and customer satisfaction. The main point of contact on-site for any logistics-related topics.
Main Responsibilities includes

• Contribute to the design of the local Logistics strategy in compliance with regional/global strategy.
• Manages & coordinates all local in-and outbound transport activities taking place on-site.
• Lead a team of Shipping Specialists and ensure efficient execution of the day-to-day transportation operations on site.
• Monitor compliance of materials/products transportation with safety/security regulations, whether domestic or international.
• Maintains close contacts with local forwarders (escalation cases, delays, etc.) in coordination with the GBS or 4PL for any question related to the organization before shipment is leaving the site.
• Participate in LSP performance reviews in collaboration with GBS and in 4PL performance reviews.
• Drive for continuous improvement at the site level in relation to carrier performance. (linked to performance review) Ensure implementation or coordination on-site for corrective actions linked to complaints/deviations in coordination with GBS and 4PL; escalate back to GBS if needed.
• Liaise/inform with GBS or 4PL regarding issues prior to transportation and execution of inbound and outbound transportation if the standard operating model is changed.

Your profile shall include:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent
• Languages: English fluent, local language fluent
• Professional experience: 5 to 8 years of professional experience in logistics operations, including 2 to 3 years in logistics in a manufacturing environment.
  2 to 3 years of experience in people management
• Customer focus, nimble learning, decision quality, drives result, demonstrate self-awareness, courage, drive engagement, values difference, and building effective teams.
• Problem solving, priority setting, process management, peer relationship, interpersonal savvy, conflict management, dealing with ambiguity, delegation
• Support inbound documentation process and responsible for outbound transport/export documentation management.
• Local contact for external agencies/authorities
• Participate in site/division projects related to customs and trade compliance impacting transport.
• Involvement in operational reporting and analysis: participate in sanity check of reports /dashboards and distribution of data.
• Liaise with Accounts Payable/Receivable to address invoicing or payment of ordered logistics services.
• Owner of the transport master/transactional data entry into the SAP shipping module.
• Ensure local accuracy of data in shipments to allow efficient execution of the E2E process and reporting
• Promote and implement the highest level of automation on day-to-day task execution. (SAP functionalities)
• Ensure the most efficient processes are in place in relation to relevant stakeholders
• Solid SAP and MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PPT)
• Good knowledge of transportation supplier landscape
• Strong understanding of transport processes and systems
• Good knowledge of local and international material/product safety/security norms and regulations
• DG transportation knowledge (IATA, IMDG)
• Basic knowledge of the production process
• Good analytical and negotiation skills.
