Ensure safety, discipline and welfare during course of work. . Carrying out timely works as per specifications and to the satisfaction of the Shipyard requirement. Ensure good quality work as per instructions. . Always maintain good housekeeping and safety in the shipyard and workshop. Ensure all workers always adhere to safety work procedures. . Responsible for minimizing wastage of materials and balance un-used materials to be accounted and returned to storage at the end of the project. . Ensuring optimum work processes and equipment utilization. . Perform other related jobs as assigned by mechanical engineer. . Ensure Permit to Work System is followed strictly. . Willing to work in Singapore. . Independent candidate capable of carrying out self-troubleshoots on shipyard facilities' mechanical faults in dry/wet docks, specialised cranes, crawler cranes, slipways, dust-free warehouses, painting facilities, fabrication & water drainage Machineries. . Identify parts and components needed for repairs or replacement and to liaise for replacement of facilities machineries. Job Requirements : . Diploma and above related to Engineering or equivalent. . 2 years of relevant experience. . Able to read and interpret Technical Drawings, plan tools/equipment/material takes off, prepare for machineries repair. . Good communication skills. . Able to read and understand shipyard facilities/mechanical drawings. . Able to execute machinery repair work with safety, quality and as per schedule. . Able to work with shipyard facilities crew such as Chief Engineers and Engineers Understanding shipyard facilities and deep knowledge in physical maintenance repair and overhaul machineries such as Engine, Pumps, Valves, Heat Exchangers, Azimuth & Bow Thrusters, DP2 System. Understanding workshop machining requirement and setup needed for a holistic machine shop from shipyard perspective. Able to identify problems and take corrective actions which can delay the project schedule. . Familiar with shipyard safety rules and class regulation and MOM requirement. EA License No.: 17C8537 (Gallons & Grapes Pte Ltd) Registration No.: R1441516 (Chua Cheng Hua) Compensations & Benefits Basic Salary : SGD$900 - SGD$1200 Commission : Not Applicable Allowance : Not Applicable Working Location : Tuas Crescent, Singapore Nearest MRT : Tuas Crescent MRT (From Tuas Shipyard to MRT takes 5-7 mins on bus, 15 mins on foot) Working Days : Monday - Saturday Working Hours : 44 Hours A Week, Starting from 0730 Annual Leave : 7 Days A Year Medical Benefit : Fully Provided AWS : Not Applicable Performance Bonus : Applicable Other Benefits : Guarantee Minimum 20 Hours of Overtime a Week @ 1.5x basic hourly salary. 2x pay on off day. Upon completion of 2 years work if candidate decide to return home, repatriation ticket will be provided. Transportation to and fro dormitory & shipyard will be provided for work purposes. Accommodation at dormitory will be provided.
