Singapore Civil & Structural Engineer (With Local Experienced)

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm | Alternate Saturdays, full day

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated

Civil and Structural Engineer

to support our construction and design teams in both technical and coordination aspects of infrastructure projects. The role involves detailed engineering design, coordination with multiple stakeholders, and preparation of documentation for regulatory submissions, primarily for major civil works and underground structures.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors to develop and refine detailed civil and structural designs. Conduct structural, civil, and geotechnical analyses and prepare corresponding design documentation. Prepare, review, and compile design calculation reports and drawings for submission to relevant authorities. Plan and design temporary works such as traffic and drain diversions, retaining structures, and other related civil works. Evaluate and plan ERSS systems for underground construction, including diaphragm walls, decking, strutting, and related components. Review and verify structural and shop drawings, ensuring all discrepancies are addressed and corrected. Assist in developing and drafting engineering drawings and technical layouts using a range of design and CAD software. Coordinate effectively with architects, clients, and site contractors to maintain smooth project progress and timely delivery. #

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in

Civil Engineering

or a related discipline from a recognized institution. At least

2-5 years

of relevant experience in civil and structural engineering, preferably involving

LTA or infrastructure projects

. Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals, with strong analytical and design skills in geotechnical and structural disciplines. Proficient in engineering design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent). Good knowledge of temporary works and traffic management planning, including authority approval processes. Familiar with underground construction sequences, civil structure designs, and ERSS systems. Working knowledge of

Eurocodes

,

LTA Civil Design Criteria (CDC)

, and related design standards. Strong communication ability in

both English and Mandarin

to coordinate effectively across multilingual teams and clients. #

Preferred Experience

Prior involvement with

Design & Build (D&B)

contractors as a Civil & Structural Engineer (Design role) will be advantageous.
