For this role, we are seeking for a dynamic and driven Singapore financial controller with strong supervisory skills and people skills. In this role, you will manage an accounting team and report to a senior Finance Director. You are responsible for the accounting and reporting matters related to the Singapore entities and ensuring accuracy of financial and statistical information, and compliance with internal policies and external laws and legislations.

Prepare statutory statements including Balance Sheet, P&L statements etc. Ensure team members complete the monthly closing for the various entities on time. Work closely with the shared service accounting team. Lead, develop, and mentor a team of accountants and finance staff, ensuring high standards of performance and engagement. Act as a finance advisor to the business on accounting/finance issues Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Interface with external auditors on audit matters and manage the audit process. Work on tax accounting filings with tax teams Work on ad-hoc work or projects may be given from time to time.
Education & Knowledge/Experience

Degree in Accounting with a CA/CPA qualification or its equivalent.

Has around 11 to 15 years of accounting experience, with experience handling month end close/statutory accounting of more than 5 legal entities

Has strong MNC exposure gained in the manufacturing or energy automation or electric sector

Has experience managing bigger teams of around 4 to 6 staff

Experience dealing with overseas accounting shared service teams is useful

External audit exp is preferred

Process oriented, experienced in compliance and internal controls, Digital mindset, technical knowledge of IFRS and country accounting and tax regulations Has excellent cross-functional communication skills; Has the capacity to understand both local and global pictures from statutory perspective Has the ability to handle highly complex structure organization reporting Possess good commercial acumen SAP and Oracle exposure is preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with strong working knowledge of MS Excel.
