TI Product Distribution Centers offer speed and flexibility to get products to customers through state-of-the-art automation, various packaging options and strong relationships with carriers across the world that provide the most effective delivery. The TI PDC network includes nine distribution centers across eight countries allowing us to optimize where products ship from. PDC\'s are strategically located close to customers or TI assembly and test sites, in areas with high accessibility for various modes of transportation, political stability, and relative safety from natural disasters. In 2021, the PDC\'s shipped 57 billion units to customers.

The Industrial Engineer will be a technical leader who will oversee all PDCs operations worldwide who will get to work on all process and automation levels of our facilities and will be responsible for generating and optimizing current workflow aspects from receiving to final shipment to customers. This includes sustaining current installed processes and automation systems, providing intelligent improvements to current system solutions and liaise with our third-party logistic partners to make sure efficient workflows and minimal equipment or system downtimes.

This role will be working primarily on process and automation improvement initiatives together with cross functional teams to design and perform systems integration testing\'s, cycle time improvements, process optimizations, equipment maintenance and quality improvement tasks.

Daily activities and level of attention indication:

  • Focus on integration between hardware and software in the PDCs.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and execute process Improvements and automation programs that will make PDC processing efficient, minimal downtime, high quality and drive operating savings.
  • Develops SOPs and Manage automation specifications/standards.
  • Keeps close contact with the Global IT organization for prevention of operational issues due to system integrations and fan-out of best practice systems across all sites.
  • Directs and collaborates with cross functional teams of colleagues and outside resources including vendors and consultants in investigations when product-related equipment and system abnormalities occur.
  • Coordinates across multiple sites, software updates, equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, calibration and repair for process and automation/controls systems.
  • Coordinates maintenance and engineering activities with onsite 3PL maintenance personnel, manufacturing and logistics managers to ensure maintenance of equipment necessary to support seamless process execution as needed.
  • Provides timely and accurate reports to communicate departmental activities, project status and events that have an impact on PDC operations.
  • Develops and maintains process automation roadmap in close cooperation with the Product Distribution Management team, continuously drive innovation and improvement for process automation strategy.
  • Advocates and promotes automation and technology advantages within the organization.
  • Ensures that Process Automation systems and equipment are maintained in accordance with all corporate standards.
  • Keeps informed of current and new industry best practices and strategies in Warehouse automation/controls.
  • Supports 3PL site management to develop and train site personnel in automation/controls usage and best practices.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Ability to extract, analyze and provide insights from data.
  • Manage daily sustenance of tools, understanding and fixing where frequent issues come from.
  • Drive Process Improvements, cycle time and productivity improvements.
  • Understands Capacity, Productivity & Cycle time concepts to create a roadmap of programs to support future business programs.
  • Work with equipment providers for efficient maintenance and management of all tools.
  • Apply Industrial Engineering concepts to line management, capacity analysis, scheduling, and production planning.
  • Utilize planning systems, including capacity models and data analytics to analyze throughput impact of various process changes.
  • Collaborate on a weekly cross-department meeting to align on area priorities, drive accountability and ensure effective decision-making.
  • Build & maintain business processes, workflows, and standardized documents that improve productivity.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and review data sources/reports to ensure data integrity.
  • Apply factory physics principles (queue time, scheduling, cycle time, etc.) to optimize PDC performance.
  • Maintaining modeling data integrity using change control principles, regular monitoring and frequent communication with stakeholders.
  • Perform \xe2\x80\x9cwhat-if\xe2\x80\x9d analysis on business changes.
  • Collect and validate data via time studies and automation logs analysis, to analyze throughput impact of various process changes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve tool loading and workstation performance metrics.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Industrial Engineering, System Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Data Science, Math, Operations, or Statistics, or similar engineering related degree.
  • 3 years of related experience.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in applications support for robotic applications and solutions.
  • Understanding of Inventory management processes, possess ability to interpret and explain inventory, production, and shipping reports.
  • Hands-on and strong attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical background to be able to understand and collaborate with deep technical concepts with IT and 3PL supports.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • SAP Knowledge and user expertise preferred.
  • Strong decision-making skills using data analysis techniques for problem solving.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results.
