With annual sales of $17 billion, we have over 50,000 employees and serve more than 350,000 customers within pharmaceutical and biotech companies, hospitals and clinical diagnostic labs, universities, research institutions and government agencies, as well as in environmental and process control industries.Scientific Support SpecialistPosition Summary:The position is in the Microbiology Testing Laboratory team.The candidate must have microbiology knowledge so as to allow better understanding of the test methodologies on routine finished products.Specialist must be detailed and systematic to perform tasks based on formalized procedures and under good manufacturing practices.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform laboratory specific methods on raw materials or finished products, media making, special projects or specified testing as directed.Set up and maintain microbiological culturesPerforming of routinely lab maintenance and Stock inventory management (media and lab suppliesLaboratory management (daily, weekly, deep cleans) and discard expired media.Read and document of work through data recording and/or electronic note booking in accordance to quality compliance.Application of routine / non-routine microbiological test methods (e.g. MIC, Challenge tests, Method Validation)Communicate immediately any product testing deviation, instrumentation failures/issues, or any other laboratory anomalies directly to Team Leader.Qualifications and Criteria

• Possess a Diploma
• Able to work independently, multitask and perform in a dynamic laboratory environment
• Detail oriented, meticulous and systematic
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, effective communication with people from different cultures and levels, both internally and externally
• Strong team player and highly skilled to work constructively in teams under time pressure
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Excel and Word); willingness to learn new software tools
