Job Description

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities * Ability to independently carry out Feasibility, Conceptual, Basic, Front End Engineering Design and Detailed Engineering Design for piping design works, in particular for high-pressured Gas Transmission pipeline projects

• Ability to independently reviews the preparation of key project documentation in executing complete piping engineering scope of work as per the project requirement in meeting customer's expectations.
• Development of terminal plot plans, piping layout drawings and general arrangement for tank farm, pump station, truck and vessel loading/unloading and jetty areas.
• Development of pig launcher station, metering station, off-take station for the gas system.
• Ability to independently perform pipe stress analysis for aboveground and underground pipelines using Caesar II pipe stress software.
• Ability to independently perform the pipe thickness calculation in accordance with codes and standards, such as ASME B 31.3, ASME B 31.4, ASME 31.8, AS 2885, etc.
• Development of scope of works, piping design basis, specifications for piping material, painting for process and utility services.
• Ability of valve selection, branch charts, flanges, gaskets and bolting for piping design.
• Generate Materials take-offs
• Review and comment of EPC design and construction specifications, detailed design calculations, plot plans and piping drawings. Checking of 3-D modelling of piping and equipment that is being executed in accordance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to comment on construction activities, witness performance tests during Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities.
• To supervise the fabrication, installation, Pre-Commissioning and commissioning of piping and equipment.
• Generates reports on work progress and submits to senior team members for review and approval before submitting to owners and other parties for approval.

Requirements

• Education:

• Bachelor degree (Hons) in Mechanical / Process Engineering from a recognized University
• Required experience:

• Min five (5) years (min. 10 years for principal) in Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Engineering for piping in the field of Oil & Gas and high-pressured Gas transmission and distribution pipeline projects
• Experience in Singapore Power Gas projects will be an added advantage
• Experience in Aviation Fuel Hydrant System, LPG and LNG design experience will be an added advantage
• Conversant with relevant international and local codes and standards.
• Proficient in MS Suites, Project and AutoCAD, Caesar II
• Experience in Hot-Tapping and Welding works, Testing & Commissioning and Operations of Gas pipelines will be an added advantage.
• Strong writing skills, verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to be an independent problem solver
• Team player and ability to work with and manage clients and contractors.
• Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards and practices (API, ASME, ISO, AS), for piping, pipeline, valves & piping equipment.
