NUS Centre for Future-ready Graduates (CFG) adopts a multipronged, student-centric approach to help them make sense of their strengths, refine their skills and demonstrate their value to employers. Beginning with the end in mind, CFG has developed a four-year roadmap to help enhance the employability of our graduates through a repertoire of skills programmes and industry focused experiential opportunities. This bolsters students\' assurance to grow deeper, discover their passion and explore multiple pathways.Serving the entire spectrum of students from undergraduates to post-graduates, CFG offers more than 15 unit-bearing courses in collaboration with academic and industry partners. We continuously innovate and enhance the quality of our offerings, as our students deserve the best tools, preparedness, and mindset to not just launch a good career, but be equipped with life skills that can help them navigate a future that is unpredictable.
We are seeking a highly competent and experienced professional to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development and strategic implementation of life skills programmes for NUS students and young alumni. You can look forward to working closely with a talented team of CFG Career Advisors, Learning and Development as well as Industry Relations managers to customise, curate and deliver a comprehensive suite of life skills to enhance our unit-bearing courses, internship programmes and standalone workshops, based on students\' needs and abilities. Additionally, you will be collaborating with other NUS departments to ensure the integration of life skills into NUS curricula.You will also support the Senior Director in overseeing some of the university key initiatives. This includes leading and co-ordinating various project teams with empathy and creativity to achieve enormous outcomes.This role is multi-faceted as you will be required to perform a combination of supervisory, managerial and administrative responsibilities.   • Oversee the development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive suite of life skills programmes and resources
  • Strategize with team heads and industry partners to re-imagine the imparting of life skills and communicate them effectively through CFG\'s career courses, internship programmes including overseas study trips
  • Collaborate with faculty members and academic departments to co-create programs and initiatives that help our students differentiate themselves and expand their pathways
  • Spearhead CFG\'s efforts in advancing alumni\'s early career development and support the building of strong alumni connections
  • Advise undergraduates on identifying careers that match their interests, values and skills, and develop action plans to navigate the job market and enhance their employability
  • Lead and manage CFG cross-functional projects and actively participate in continuous learning
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a related field
  • 15 years of professional experience; of which the last 5-8 years should preferably be in a senior leadership role in the private sector, public service or within an Institute of Higher Learning
  • Demonstrated capability to communicate broadly across the University coupled with the ability to distil complex organizational information to a wide variety of stakeholders including industry partners and alumni
  • Excellent organisational and inter-personal skills with strong aptitude to build communities, develop relationships and establish networks
  • Good knowledge of the labour market, industry trends, emerging opportunities and risks
  • Adept in collecting and using data, benchmarks and surveys
  • Ability to prioritize multiple demands and thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes crisis mode.
  • Agile and curious mindset, with the motivation and ability to curate contents and facilitate students\' skills development in a progressive and timely manner; delivering outstanding results on NUS graduates\' skills profile with affirmation from industry.
