In addition, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring audit and monitor the standards of maintenance services rendered by specialist vendors and outsourced maintenance service provider. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Specific Pre-Hospital Opening: Review and participate site acceptance testing and commissioning activities. To validate system performance in meeting operation, reliability, maintainability and supportability requirements. Assist in handing and taking over of facilities ready for user ops set up and leading to hospital open. To assist manager to plan operation set up, develop processes and instructions manual, implement maintenance & support plans, configuration change management for the sustenance systems and equipment delivered. To provide support to hospital development team for the construction work undertaken by external consultants appointed by the hospital. Post Hospital Opening: Oversee preventive & corrective maintenance scheduling & coordination work. Manage Maintenance Agent day-to-day works for Plumbing and Sanitary Systems, Town Gas System, DC System, Roller Shutter, Auto door System, Etc. Oversee the performance of outsourced maintenance Mechanical team and ensure good maintenance standards maintained and planned PM schedules are met. Audit and monitor the performance standards of outsourced maintenance services by specialist vendors and service providers for mechanical systems critical to hospital operations. Oversee and coordinate improvements projects to the hospital services and facilities as well as upgrading of systems and equipment components. Project manager for improvement works to existing hospital facilities such as renovation and retrofitting, replacement of system infrastructure and improvement initiatives to existing specialized systems and hospital facilities Assist to provide advisory and support to the maintenance team. This includes, system rectification and troubleshooting, system upgrade or expansion, condemnation or replacement. Prepare technical specifications and drawings for system improvements and draft cost estimates and work schedule for project execution. General Oversee outsourced maintenance team safety practice and work conduct and ensure good maintenance standards are implemented. Ensure prompt service recovery for any breakdown of equipment and systems to minimize disruption to hospital service operations. Perform any other duties assigned by HOD. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education / Training / Experience Degree holder in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 0-4 years of related working experience in similar portfolio for Executive position. Degree holder in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with at least 5-6 years of related working experience or (Diploma with at least 10 years) in similar portfolio for Senior Executive position. Prior experience with design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical systems & equipment will be an advantage. Prior experience in management of building services and facilities operation as well as improvement projects will be an advantage. Prior working experience in healthcare setting will be an advantage.
