As a Project Manager (Systems/Network), the broad area of your job responsibilities should cover the following:

  • Act as a focal point for all Project related enquiries and issues.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for further expansion or improvement of services delivered to the customer and liaise with the Account Manager(s) for development of that opportunity.
  • Proactively identify risks to the services provided and work with the customer to mitigate those risks.
  • Proactively manage any 'out of scope' variations to services and liaise with the customer (in conjunction with the Account Manager) on how these are to be handled.
  • Ensure that effective communication on the services delivered is provided to the customer (including month or weekly service delivery reports) with the agreed timeframes.
  • Ensure that regular reviews of the services provided are conducted to maintain alignment between the services and the expectations of the customer.
  • Proactively manage and negotiate Deliverables with the customer.
  • Produce and deliver standard and ad/hoc reports, discuss Project Delivery, manage issues, discuss charges / scope adjustment with the customer in a timely fashion.
  • Work with customer counterparts across the organisation to ensure effective execution of business strategies and goal alignment.
  • Maintain an understanding of industry trends that directly relate to specific customer's business strategies.
  • Participate in customer presentations.
  • Participate in leadership activities and providing performance feedback and developmental coaching.
  • Monitor and improve team performance, providing leadership, coaching, and performance management.

  • Ability to derive various solutions to address the problem with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Able to defuse the hostility between the conflict parties.
  • Able to motivate the team to work towards the success of the project.
  • Able to identify and coach non-performing individual to complete the tasks
Technical:
  • Able to appreciate and overcome challenges during the execution phase
  • Ability to summarize information that targeted recipients / audience are able to understand with minimum clarification.
  • Able to use formulas and pivot table to streamline data analysis.
  • Able to manage Gantt chart and plan resources accordingly.
  • Able to accurately forecast revenue and cash flow
Professional skills
  • Tertiary qualification in Electronics Engineering/Telecommunications or ICT area OR equivalent experience.
  • Significant Project Management experience in the ICT industry. (4 years or more).
  • Intermediate level of competency in MS Office suite of products.
  • Intermediate level of MS Project and/or other project planning tools.
  • Certification against a recognized project management standard (PMP, PRINCE II, CITPM).
