Job Description

We are looking for a Security Operations Center (SoC) Engineer who can optimize and configure logging systems on applications to enhance security monitoring capabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large-scale security information and event management (SIEM) systems, integrating logging solutions within web applications, and ensuring that security logs are properly captured, stored, and analyzed. This role requires a deep understanding of application security and logging best practices and techniques.





As a SoC Engineer, you will be responsible for establishing and optimizing processes that integrate logging and monitoring for application security. This includes setting up efficient logging frameworks for security event capture, building a streamlined process for identifying and responding to application-level vulnerabilities, and ensuring that security practices are implemented.





Responsibilities:


Configure and optimize logging systems for application security events. Develop and Integrate logging solutions within web applications for enhanced security monitoring. Ensure logs are captured, stored, and analyzed efficiently. Implement logging frameworks to support real-time event capture and detection. Identify and respond to application-level vulnerabilities based on log data. Collaborate across multiple teams to ensure secure logging practices.


Skills & Qualifications:


Experience with common SIEM tools. Strong understanding of web application security (e.g., OWASP Top 10, secure coding). Proficiency in configuring and managing security logs for applications. Familiarity with security protocols like Syslog, SNMP, and API-based logging. Scripting skills for log automation and analysis. Experience in incident response and troubleshooting using security logs. Experience with cloud-based application security and logging.
