Adecco is partnering with a US MNC in the FMCG industry and we are seeking for a Social Compliance Specialist to join their expanding business! The company has recently expanded into the SEA region to set up their regional headquarters in Singapore. As part of their new headcount, the incumbent will be reviewing and assessing the social compliance of their overseas supplier factories to ensure adherence to human rights, ethical behavior and environment requirements according to international regulations.

Job scope:
  • Executing social compliance program with internal teams and third-party service providers
  • Work closely with internal departments in vendor selection process to ensure suppliers act in accordance with company standards while adhering to national and local legal standards, regulations and labor laws, including human rights, ethical behavior and environment requirements
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor social audit execution
  • Perform social compliance audits on factories located in various Asia countries (China, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc)
  • Review social audit reports, escalate noncompliance findings and collaborate with internal departments to ensure corrective action plans are established and rolled out
  • Maintain proper social compliance records including corrective action plans and audit schedules
Requirements:
  • Degree holder in any discipline
  • Internationally recognized auditor training / certification will be advantageous
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in social compliance assessment/audits
  • Well-versed in international social compliance programs and audit protocols (ICTI, BSCI, SA8000, WRAP, SEDEX)
  • This position requires daily support to China market, hence the incumbent must possess the ability to converse, write and read in Chinese language to:
  • Review and prepare Chinese audit documents
  • Communicate with native Chinese speaking counterparts based in China
