To be eligible, applicant must:

• Be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident who is willing to take up Singapore Citizenship
• Be a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate student who has gained admission into course of study in Social Work in a local institution recognised by professional associations
• Currently not a full-time employee at any organisation
• Currently not receiving any scholarships or sponsorships
• Have a recommended GPA of minimum 60%
• Be able to serve a bond with the organization upon graduation if application is successful
• For the mid-term study award, applicant must apply by the first semester of their final academic year

Care Corner Singapore Ltd was founded in 1981, in a climate of changes in the early 1980s, as economic competition in the region intensified and the rift between the wealthy and the lower-income in particular the Chinese blue-collar workers, widened. \xe2\x80\x8b Rev Tan Tien Ser and a group of passionate individuals believed that these marginalised people with lower income and little opportunities for a formal education could be helped to realise their potential and become more competent and fulfilled persons.
