The Community Response, Engagement and Support Team (CREST) at CARE Singapore focuses on raising public awareness of mental health conditions, promote early recognition of at-risk Youths (Between 12 to 25-year-old) and providing emotional support to them and their caregivers. This team works with other community partners to facilitate preventive activities to reduce the risk of mental health issues and conducts meaningful activities to support the youths' well-being and stimulate their cognitive functions. It is also the community role to link them to relevant health and social care services when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
CREST Team works with client aged between 12 to 25-year-old.
Core Casework and Counselling
Conduct mental health assessments, screenings, and develop safety plans.
Provide one-on-one casework and counselling, including crisis management.
Implement evidence-based assessment frameworks and approaches for casework and group work.
Manage information and referral services and monitor clients with mental health needs.
Programme Development and Implementation
Develop and independently deliver programmes using evidence-based frameworks.
Implement core programmes and services in the community.
Implement interest or play-based programmes for youth in collaboration with partner organizations.
Support youth development by implementing support mechanisms and legislative frameworks, protocols, and procedures.
Outreach and Partnerships
Plan, coordinate, and execute outreach activities (including digital outreach via social media) to educate the public, youths and partners on mental health awareness.
Assess the needs of youth by collating information and feedback from multiple stakeholders.
Network and collaborate with community partners to achieve common goals.
Manage volunteers in the delivery of programmes and interventions.
Administration and Reporting
Perform administrative duties to support team functions.
Report to the Team Supervisor and Programme Lead.
Work closely with the team to serve clients and caregivers.
Professional Qualifications
A degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or Youth Work is required.
Candidates must have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience working with youth.
Registered social worker with SASW or registered Counsellor with SAC is an advantage.
You should be skilled in teaching life skills and engaging large groups of children and youths (up to 40 participants).
Fluency in English is essential. The ability to speak an additional language, such as Chinese, Malay, or Tamil, is a plus.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, with a strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with presentation and design tools like Canva and Ahaslides is an advantage.
