What a Software Applications Engineer does in HP:

Provide leadership and guidance to a team of developers focused on API integration within the sales and supply chain domain.

Set technical direction and ensure alignment with business goals, API best practices, and overall system architecture.

Lead the design and implementation of complex API solutions, emphasizing architectural excellence and scalability.

Develop and implement a strategic API integration roadmap, considering both current and future business requirements.

Manage a pool of development resources, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

Provide mentorship and technical support to team members, promoting skill development and career growth.

Utilize deep knowledge of SAP systems to guide the team in designing and implementing effective API integrations.

Collaborate closely with SAP functional teams to ensure seamless integration with SAP modules.

Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs, providing technical insights and ensuring alignment with the overall architectural strategy.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and communicate technical solutions.

Leverage knowledge of technologies like MS Dynamics, React, and Node JS to enhance and diversify the technical toolkit for API development and integration.

Individuals who will do well in this role in HP, usually possess:

Master\'s/Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

SAP certification in integration or related areas preferable.

Proven experience in technical leadership roles, with a focus on API integration and architecture.

Extensive knowledge of SAP systems and hands-on experience in managing SAP integration projects.

Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby. Familiarity with API management platforms and tools.

Experience with MS Dynamics, React, and Node JS will be a significant advantage.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience managing development teams in an Agile environment will be advantageous.

Previous experience working in a leadership role in the sales and supply chain domain knowledge of cloud-based integration platforms will also be advantageous.
