? We're Hiring: Software Development Project Manager! ?
We are seeking an experienced Software Development Project Manager with strong hands-on expertise in system engineering, systems integration (API), and managing Java development teams. This role supports complex eCommerce and retail-related system initiatives, requiring deep technical knowledge of system development lifecycles, multi-system environments, and solution integration. The successful candidate will directly manage development teams, drive cross-functional delivery, and communicate seamlessly with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

Key Qualifications:

• eCommerce / Retail domain experience -- deep understanding of platforms, payment gateways, POS, order/offer systems, and overall digital commerce architecture.

• System Engineering / Integration expertise -- strong knowledge of API integrations, system interfaces, dependencies, configuration, and performance considerations.

• Java Development Team Management -- proven experience directly leading or managing Java development teams in end-to-end SDLC environments.

• Hands-on System Development Knowledge -- including system lifecycle, technical risks, change/configuration management, and release processes.

• Agile / Scrum proficiency -- practical experience in agile delivery and working closely with Scrum teams.

• Mandarin language proficiency -- required to communicate with stakeholders in China.

Additional Qualifications:

• Project management certifications: CSM, PMP, Prince2

• Experience in Unix/Linux/MacOS environments

• Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms

• Strong negotiation, coordination, and conflict-resolution skills

• Excellent documentation, written communication, and stakeholder reporting skills

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Understand client system landscapes, application architecture, and enhancement requirements across eCommerce and retail environments.

• Create, maintain, and track project plans, including cost, effort, and resource estimates.

• Manage end-to-end delivery of development projects, especially Java-based systems, ensuring alignment across multi-vendor and cross-functional teams.

• Oversee system integration activities, API dependencies, and cross-system technical coordination.

• Identify project risks early and drive mitigation strategies with all relevant stakeholders.

• Lead Agile ceremonies and ensure consistent delivery practices across development teams.

• Communicate progress updates, issues, and risks proactively to all levels of management.

• Coordinate with onshore/offshore teams, including China-based stakeholders, to ensure successful feature delivery and release management.
