You will be responsible for ensuring high quality deliverables, spanning across multiple key services powering end to end user journeys across all the different products of our superapp. These services are one of the top entry points for Grab services, with millions of visitors every day across 8 countries in total. We\'re seeking candidates who embody accountability, display a relentless hunger for learning and improvement, thrive in autonomy, and possess the drive to consistently go above and beyond expectations.The Day-to-Day ActivitiesDesign and write with the cutting-edge GO language to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Grab\'s range of servicesExplore and create new design/architectures geared towards scale and performanceWork closely with the infrastructure team in building and scaling back-end services as well as performing root cause analysis investigationsDesign, build, analyze, and fix large-scale systemsDebug and modify complex, production software that serves millions of users in Southeast Asia * Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.QualificationsTechnical must-haves:A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldWorking experience in backend development for 2-4 yearsStrong computer science fundamentals in algorithms and data structuresYou can be a good coder in any language (C++, C, Java, Scala, Rust, Haskell, OCaml, Erlang, Python, Ruby, PHP, Node.JS, C#, etc.), but willing to work on GolangHands-on familiarity with running large-scale distributed systems or API services; understanding of systems internals and networking is a plusGood problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically.Hands-on familiarity with databases and at least one data query language like MySQL or PrestoStrong understanding of system performance and ability to do profiling to find system bottlenecksStrong understanding and experience on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, AzureStrong understanding of testing frameworks for unit testing, integration testing, and E2E testingHands-on familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for system development and deploymentSoft skills must-haves:
