Description
This is a senior software engineering role. You will collaborate closely day-to-day with other engineers, users and business leaders to plan, design, build and deliver high-quality, scalable and resilient cloud-based software solutions that enable enriched and intelligent data exploration, analytics and reporting. Your responsibilities will include: * Leading technical direction and execution. Demonstrate rigor through implementations that can scale to meet business needs with high availability, performant and robustness * Developing, maintaining, and reviewing software with a focus on quality, maintainability and innovation * Collaborating with cross-functional partners (e.g. Product Manager, ML Engineer, Data Scientist, DevOps) to design and deliver robust solutions in a timely and cost-efficient manner * Providing technical oversight for the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring plan and outcomes align to expected functional and non-functional requirements * Debugging production issue, perform root cause analysis and ensure timely followups on short-term and long-term solutions * Mentoring and coaching less experienced engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning * Researching novel technologies, building proofs of concept and presenting learnings * Promoting and exemplifying technical excellence and innovation
Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with impeccable analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven track record of delivering complex and business-critical engineering solutions
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and one compiled language, e.g. Java, Go, Scala
• Familiarity with systems architecture, distributed systems and big data technologies
• Knowledge of infrastructure, various data stores and caches
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts
• Ability to guide teams through iterative planning, execution, and delivery processes
• Strong understanding of designing for resilience and self-healing capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Proven track record of architecting and developing distributed systems leveraging big data technologies with long-term viability
• Proven hands-on experience in rapid system scaling, performance and resilience testing
