About Deloitte Tax & Legal Digital Transformation

The Deloitte Tax & Legal Digital Transformation team is responsible for developing custom software solutions for our Tax & Legal professionals across SEA as well as integrating our systems into global Deloitte platforms. We build platforms using a User-centered design (UCD) approach by engaging directly with the business teams. Our team of about 15 team members are all passionate about Software Development and enjoy working with talented individuals in an Agile manner. We strive to build platforms that improve the capabilities of our Tax & Legal professionals enabling them to deliver quality services to our clients as efficiently as possible.

We believe that learning is bidirectional and hope to learn from you along the way. Our team regularly shares code, best practice updates, and general knowledge through Azure DevOps Wikis, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom calls. We also run a Dev Q&A session every Friday to peer program with more experienced developers and ask general programming questions. We provide various technical trainings to our team as well as host annual beginner, intermediate and expert Microsoft Excel sessions for all the Singapore Tax & Legal professionals.

We are still growing our TDD (Test Driven Development) skillset, if you are a strong TDD practitioner then we would love to hear from you. We heavily utilize Cloud and DevOps within our team and will continue to push into Docker and Kubernetes. We strive to be Agile and are continuing to grow in this area. Our teams regularly have scrums with the business to discuss their respective project backlog. We generally use the Microsoft stack; however, this is not required and if you have a great OOP background, then you will fit right in.

Your Role

You are a passionate software developer who enjoys working in an environment where you can continuously innovate as part of a diverse team and grow your software development skills through SOLID design principles.

You understand the importance of discussing the benefits of Agile to those that have not experienced working in Agile teams before and take the time to review your development process after each sprint.

You enjoy coaching others to help them prosper in their careers and believe that coaching can happen regardless of what level you are in the organization.

You are comfortable saying no and lternatives if you think there are better solutions.

You understand that planning your sprint is important and commit to the sprint timelines you agree on together with your team.

You offer help to other team members if they are struggling with their sprint tasks and see the sprint target as a common goal owned by all members of the team.

You believe in creating technical documentation which are not limited to system design document, architectural documents, etc.
