GovTech builds key digital platforms and infrastructure to support Singapore as a Smart Nation. As the economy becomes more digital, this includes the development of a National Digital Identity (NDI) to provide more convenience and security for residents when transacting online.

NDI Platform is a digital infrastructure that serves as a common and universal trust framework which the public and private sectors can leverage to build value-added digital services. NDI co-create innovative solutions that can boost business productivity and deliver better customer experiences.

Imagine citizens using their Singpass app to make their lives so much easier, and open doors to even more services for them - allowing them to do everything from accessing health prescriptions, completing government transactions, starting a bank account to digitally signing important agreements through their smartphone.

If you are inspired by this vision, we invite you to join our National Digital Identity (NDI) team. You will collaborate with a team of highly motivated peers to develop and deploy the next bound of our National Digital Identity platform and APIs that will further transform the lives of citizens by enabling secure and seamless delivery of personalized online digital experiences.

What you will be working on:

Understand requirements and work as a team to deliver the product

Perform technical analysis and provide realistic task estimations

Practise good coding hygiene to minimize technical debts

Practise Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) to increase productivity

Participate in regular technical sharing sessions and team retrospectives

Understand system architecture and work with Solutions Architect to deliver the solution

Perform technical analysis and break down modules into tasks for assignment to engineers

Perform code review and provide guidance on good software development methodologies

Ensure adequate testing of module before delivery

What we are looking for:

Experience in a development team as a software or quality engineer is essential

Familiar with Agile methodologies and practices will be a bonus

Proficient in at least one major programming language e.g. Java, .Net, Python

Experience in React, NodeJS, AWS, and modern web application technology stacks e.g. MEAN is added advantage

Able to work both independently and in team setting

Good written and verbal communication, including minutes taking and technical writing skills

Work efficiently and independently under pressure, meet deadlines, multitask and to prioritise tasks effectively

Demonstrate motivation to learn new skills and technologies
