Acheron is a market maker holding a CASP license issued by the AFM in the Netherlands under MiCAr and with passporting in all EU countries.





Acheron provides liquidity services to digital asset issuers from their most embryonic stages and throughout their adoption cycle. It is our belief that market inefficiency is one of the factors preventing digital assets from achieving mass adoption.





We are seeking an experienced and

data centric

Developer to join our core engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for building the data products and applications that are the central nervous system of our trading operations.


You will be working with high-volume, low-latency, real-time data streams from dozens of global exchanges.


The ideal candidate is a strong developer who is passionate about data, thrives on solving complex engineering challenges, and is excited to work at the absolute cutting edge of finance and technology.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain our real-time trading dashboards and client-facing analytics platforms using

Node.js

and

React/Angular

. Consume and manage high-throughput, real-time data streams from numerous

WebSocket

and

REST APIs

. Develop robust, scalable backend services that process, aggregate, and serve large datasets to our frontend applications. Collaborate closely with quantitative traders and other departments to understand their needs and build the tools they need to succeed. Take ownership of the full development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to testing and deployment. Participate in the technical migration

Skills & Qualifications

5+ years

of professional software development experience. Strong proficiency in

JavaScript/TypeScript

and extensive experience with

Node.js

on the backend. Strong experience with a modern frontend framework, preferably

React

or

Angular

, for building complex, data-heavy applications. Deep experience consuming and managing real-time data from

WebSocket

and REST APIs. A strong understanding of core computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms) and a passion for writing clean, efficient, and reliable code. A genuine and demonstrable interest in financial markets, data, or the crypto industry.

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves):

Experience in

Trading, quantitative finance (TradFi), or another industry that deals with low-latency, high-throughput data.

Familiarity with financial data or building trading interfaces. Experience with system design and building scalable microservices. * A portfolio or GitHub profile showcasing relevant personal projects.
