Student will be involved in the following tasks:
1. Assist the security team in developing and implementing coverage guided fuzzing techniques to identify vulnerabilities in software applications.
2. Develop, execute, and analyze fuzz testing campaigns using industry-standard tools such as AFL, LibFuzzer, or Honggfuzz.
3. Monitor and track discovered vulnerabilities, working closely with the development team to prioritize and remediate them.
4. Analyze and optimize fuzzing strategies to improve code coverage, crash detection, and overall effectiveness.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
6. Contribute to the development of internal tools and frameworks to automate and enhance the fuzz testing process.
7. Document and report findings, progress, and improvements to project stakeholders.
Qualifications
Knowledge of software security concepts, including vulnerability analysis, risk assessment, and secure coding practices.
Familiarity with coverage guided fuzzing techniques and tools (e.g., AFL, LibFuzzer, Honggfuzz).
Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++, Python
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn new concepts quickly.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
A strong desire to learn and grow in the field of software security.
