We are looking for a Solution Architect for a technical leadership role based in Singapore for the first 12months before returning to a full-time position in Australia
The role focuses on technical solutioning, early-stage architecture, and effort estimation across multiple initiatives. It requires working closely with stakeholders to analyze existing systems, identify gaps, and shape solutions that downstream teams will implement. While the emphasis is on design leadership, the Solution Architect must also be technically hands-on when needed - particularly with Java microservices using Spring Boot.
This position sits within the wholesale transaction banking domain, with exposure to areas such as payments, cash management, and high-value transaction systems being highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Solutioning & Assessment
Analyze existing codebases and technical landscapes to identify improvement areas, risks, and opportunities. * Architecture & Epic Definition
Define scalable solutions and translate them into actionable epics and roadmaps for delivery teams. * Stakeholder Collaboration
Work directly with client-side System Analysts (aligned to Solution Architects in Endava) to align architecture with business and operational needs. * Pre-Sales & Early Engagement Support
Participate in early-phase planning by contributing to technical estimations, effort sizing, and architecture proposals. * Hands-On Contribution
Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) efforts and engage in the code where necessary to validate designs and support teams - with a primary focus on Spring Boot-based Java microservices.
Qualifications
  • Strong experience in Java microservices architecture, particularly with Spring Boot.
  • Ability to rapidly analyze and assess unfamiliar codebases and guide technical remediation or redesign.
  • Background in solution architecture, system design, and technical strategy across distributed systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - capable of articulating, defending, and refining solutions in both technical and business terms.
  • Proven success in hybrid roles blending architecture, delivery planning, and hands-on coding.
  • Comfortable working in high-autonomy, client-facing environments with shifting priorities.
  • Experience in wholesale or transaction banking would be highly advantageous
