Job Description

BNP Paribas WM is on-going a major business/IT transformation project with the main objective to reduce its IT costs and converge processes/organization and IT Systems across WM locations. This transformation has gone through a step of blueprint/masterplan and is now moving to implementation phase.

WM Information Services (WMIS) provides IT application development and IT support for WM Business sites and operates from Paris, Luxemburg, Geneva, Lisbon, Singapore and Chennai.

Within WMIS, you will join the Strategy & Architecture team.

Position

As a member of the IT Architecture team, you will be in charge of helping projects define their Solution Architecture and will review their proposals with the Enterprise Architects and Engineering/Production team to ensure that the solutions proposed are aligned with the Enterprise Strategy.

You will be assigned to a fixed set of IT Divisions/departments (2 or 3) for which you will manage the BAU evolutions of the applications under their management. In addition, you will be assigned to specific projects for which you will do the solutioning end-to-end.

Main activities:

• Maintain the Domain architecture reference documentation all along the changes brought by projects:

- IT system diagrams (Domain level, or per sub-block)
- Application referential (with the help of Asset Owners)
- Domain principles and related non-conformities and remediation plans
- Obsolescence KPIs * Lead the solution architecture on the projects he is assigned to:

- Supporting the Project Manager/Business Analysts during solution ideation, design, and implementation
- Collaborating with application teams and Business Analysts/tech leads of impacted applications to design the solution
- Ensuring the alignment of projects with our architecture principles and IT standards
- Ensuring the solution is optimized for running on our IBM Private Cloud * Support project managers and tech leads along the architecture validation process by:

- Leading the build of a consistent architecture documentation
- Presenting his projects in architecture validation committee
- Being the reference point on a set of applications for support/evolution activities
- Supporting the architecture process till the go-live
- Bringing architecture awareness to application teams * Being the reference architect on a set of applications for support/evolution activities (having low architecture impacts)

• Collaborate with following roles:

- Project managers/business analyst of major transversal projects he is assigned to
- Tech leads/developers to understand the architecture of the applications/screens and analyze potential issues
- Application owner to update the referential information on applications
- Production team to check the availability/compatibility with infrastructure/Cloud services
- Enterprise Architects * Ensure the reference documentation is updated all along the changes brought by projects:

- Application referential
- IT architecture diagrams
- Application non-conformities and remediation plans
- Architecture principles, checklist, guidelines

Qualifications

Technical and Behavioral Competencies Required

• Broad technical knowledge and experience across application, development frameworks, technology
• Experience of Enterprise Architecture discipline, processes, concepts, and best practices
• Functional/Business knowledge (of his current/past companies)
• Experience in modeling activities (application maps, software design models, data modeling, infrastructure diagrams, etc.)
• Experience running Request for Proposal and assessing solutions
• Strong analysis skills with problem solving attitude
• Ability to communicate effectively in written documents and oral presentations, explaining concepts clearly to audiences at various levels of technical knowledge
• Experience with Java/Spring/Angular, Oracle/PostgreSQL DB, Linux, API, Kafka etc.
• Experience on Cloud migration, integration patterns, high availability patterns etc.
• Effective leadership, planning and organization skills
• Interest in Financial & Banking industry

Technical and Behavioral Competencies Good to have

• Architecture certification (TOGAF) or Cloud Architect certification
• Experience in Financial & Banking industry
• Knowledge of a Core Banking System such as ERI Olympic or Temenos Transact
• SCRUM/Agile experience

Experience and Qualifications Required

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in IT either as an Enterprise Architect or Solution Architect
• 5+ years of experience as a Developer or Tech Lead
