The Position

The Solution Architect Connectivity & Network is responsible for designing resilient, scalable, and secure network and connectivity solutions that support enterprise operations across a global environment. This role works cross-functionally to ensure network architecture aligns with business needs, technology standards, and cybersecurity policies. The architect defines the strategic direction of network platforms, evaluates emerging technologies, and ensures seamless integration with other enterprise systems and services.

Major Responsibilities

Platform and Solution Design and Strategy

Develop and maintain the organization's network architecture and solution design. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective network solutions. Create detailed network solution designs, considering architecture principles, scalability, security, and performance. Define network design standards, best practices, and architecture blueprints (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, SASE, etc.).

Technology Evaluation

Stay updated with emerging network technologies and industry trends. Evaluate and recommend network technologies and tools that enhance solution effectiveness.

Technical Leadership

Provide technical leadership and guidance to network development teams throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure that network designs align with established architecture standards.

Integration and Compatibility

Ensure that network solutions integrate seamlessly with existing systems and applications. Verify the compatibility of proposed network solutions with hardware, software, and network environments.

Security and Compliance

Incorporate security best practices into network solution designs. Ensure compliance with data protection and regulatory requirements.

Documentation and Communication

Document network designs, architecture decisions, and implementation guidelines. Communicate network solution designs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Quality Assurance

Collaborate with quality assurance teams to define testing strategies and validate network solution functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise during implementation.

Technical Direction and Coordination

Help define the technical direction for network solutions and coordinate across product teams.

Requirements Transformation

Transform requirements into specific network solution architecture design documents.

Architectural Governance

Govern the technical design against approved architectural standards and make final decisions on any technology changes or exceptions.

Business Alignment and Integration

Ensure the network platform aligns with business goals and integrates various business functions into a cohesive system.

Scalability, Reliability, and Adaptability

Ensure the network platform is scalable, reliable, and adaptable to changing business needs.

Qualifications

------------------

Education/Training Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

5-8 years of experience in network solution architecture and design. Proven track record in designing and delivering enterprise-scale network solutions. * Experience in multi-vendor environments and hybrid cloud architectures.
