Job Description

My client is a leading Digital Bank in Singapore and looking for a Solution Engineer to join the team.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and drive the successful implementations of large-scale projects including new application setups, complex system integrations as well as major enhancements.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of business objectives, and transforming the requirements into PRD documents and solution designs
• Assess existing business processes and drive for enhancements and optimizations to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Design innovative solutions on public cloud platforms to address the identified business challenges, ensuring that solutions are designed to leverage the cloud platform\'s strengths, scalability, and security features
• Participate in development activities when needed, contributing to quick-win items that provide immediate value to the bank;

Requirements include:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related subject with at least 5 years of work experience, preferably in commercial banks or related financial institutions
• Proven hands-on software development experience, preferably in Java; Able to write well-designed, testable, efficient code
• Good knowledge of relational & non-relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies
• Excellent understanding of the basic principles of distributed system and microservice architecture
• Proficiency in developing microservices using Springboot/Kafka/Redis/MQ/RPC and other open source frameworks;
• Demonstrated ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions;
• Exposure to banking products and operations (i.e. customer onboarding, KYC, deposits, loans, accounting, payment and settlement etc); Experience with core banking systems is a plus;
• Experience with public cloud/cloud native/Kubernetes is an advantage

Bilingual spoken English and Mandarin is required, as there will be communication with Mandarin speaking stakeholders
