A vacancy exists within our Global Engineering Solutions (GES) group for a Project Engineer based in Singapore supporting GES capital projects in the Asia Pacific Region. Reporting to the Global Engineering Solutions Area Director or Associate Director, this will be a key role in the AP GES Project Execution organization which is currently executing, Pharmaceutical, Chem API, Sterile, and Animal Health projects at the various AP manufacturing sites.
The incumbent will be a key member of the project management team reporting into the project manager and shall be responsible for all technical aspects and delivery of assigned scope on a project a portion of a large project, ensuring the scope assigned is executed in accordance to our company\xe2\x80\x99s requirements, while meeting legislative, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and other Compliance standards. The role will also involve developing relationships and working very closely with the site team to understand and address business needs.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide input into project plans and successfully execute them according to established schedule, cost and performance standards.
Lead specific aspects of a project which may include management of a specific project scope or specific suite team co-ordination, or management of equipment vendor packages or skids.
Manage design, equipment vendors, construction, commissioning and qualification, schedule and cost in collaboration with other project team members, operations personnel, safety and quality representatives, outside contractors and suppliers for assigned project scope
Track and report progress as required against project deliverables, highlight risks and mitigation plans and provide regular updates.
Ensure there is a strong safety culture and performance in the execution of capital projects
Education Minimum Requirement:
Must have as a minimum a 3rd level technical Degree, preferable Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
Required Experience and Skills:
General
A minimum of six years of relevant experience in project management of capital projects in Pharm/Bio Pharm including management of equipment vendors and experience with managing challenging timelines
Experience on OSD and/or API projects and also ideally some operational Pharma experience.
Excellent communication /presentation skills.
Experience and ability working with Chinese vendors ideally understanding Chinese language and culture.
Technical
Understands the typical project life cycle from concept through to qualification and has proven experience in these areas.
Proven knowledge, appreciation and experience of working in a strongly regulated GMP environment.
Experience in lean six sigma techniques would be an advantage.
People
Strong interpersonal skills with an understanding of the customer/client relationship and the management of engineering companies required for successful completion of complex capital projects.
Ability to work with a multinational team and different cultures
Demonstrated performance in working with multi-functional teams.
