Under the direction of Business Operations COE Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing value-adding services, primarily to Asia Pacific region Business Operations team and its stakeholders. He / She will manage and support IT Business Operations and financial management workload in line with internal governance and corporate policies. Primary job responsibilities:
  • Business and Financial Operations
    • Provide PO management services from planning, creation, tracking to closing
    • Manage accruals, depreciation, amortization, intercompany chargeback
    • Preparation of COE financial data as inputs to forecast planning
    • Continuous monitoring to ensure compliance to financial policies and procedures.
  • Support financial activities in the IT Investment portfolio:
  • Work with Project Management Organization to support them from the project accounting perspective
  • Projects reporting and financial status updates in SAP
  • Manage any new requirements needed including new projects or changes to current projects/programs:
  • SAP project creation, approval and closure, financial resource scheduling.
  • Identify areas to streamline / improve process to eliminate waste (time/cost)
  • Provide regular and on-demand report for financial management
  • Work in a networked organization in partnership with Business Management, Supplier Management, Procurement, and Finance to deliver on financial management objectives
General responsibilities:
  • Perform, adopt and where necessary adjust processes supporting IT cost management
  • Interact with senior level business executives & peers in the IT organization, regionally as well globally.
  • Build strong partnerships with IT leaders as well as counterparts in Finance, Procurement and HR.
  • Manage communication and change management activities.
  • Partner with peers in other business areas to identify and share best practices.
Education Minimum Requirement:
  • BSc Degree with relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, Math, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
Required Experience and Skills:
  • The candidate must have at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrate self-starting ability, able to multitask and work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Should possess strong communication and facilitation skills and able to conduct effective user trainings.
  • Flexibility is required to interact globally in a matrix organization across time zones (Asia Pacific, Europe & US).
  • Have a passion for continuous improvement and able to solve problems proactively.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and develop working relationships with IT functional areas in achieving cost controls, expense reductions, and optimization of financial resources.
  • Require strong decision-making capability and confidence to interact and manage senior level executives and stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in SAP Financial systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good finance or accounting acumen
  • Base knowledge of Financial Forecasting Process, Reporting and Project/Portfolio Accounting
  • Good organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to deliver high quality work with focus on details and accuracy
  • Detail oriented, open to changes and ambiguous situation
  • Strong Excel proficiency
  • Good client focus
  • Sigma experience / certification is a plus
