foodpanda is part of the Delivery Hero Group, the world\'s leading local delivery platform operating in 70+ countries worldwideWe are looking for a highly analytical Finance Controller to join our Regional Finance team based in Singapore, overseeing the core business in foodpanda APAC markets.The Regional Financial Controller will collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the APAC region and will support senior members of the team in reporting, analysis, compliance, financial planning and budgeting. The candidate will thrive in a culture of accountability and transparency and be highly responsive to the needs of the continually evolving organization. The individual will have exceptional attention to detail, but will also be a strategic thinker, excited by the opportunity to test ideas and lead projects that impact the company.Responsibilities:

  • Support senior colleagues in the monitoring of single entities and the consolidation of the APAC Financials results and participate in the creation of monthly storyline.
  • Build and maintain financial models for monthly rolling forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Support local teams during Month End Close - provide guidance and tools to help them improve accuracy and timeliness of MEC reporting.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators and financial metrics, and ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Prepare variance analyses to identify and explain variances.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly Management Reporting decks with a high degree of accuracy and detailed analyses.
  • Work closely with the Analytics team, Finance Business Partners and Accounting team to make adjustments to existing processes and policies with a view towards improving transparency and accuracy of our financial reports.
  • Design, build and implement automated financial control tools to ensure adherence to group controlling policies and the correct booking in GL accounts of specific items.
  • Ad hoc tasks as required by direct manager and senior colleagues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting and/or Accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
  • At least 2 to 3 years of experience in Accounting and/or Controlling functions.
  • Natural curiosity, passionate about learning and a desire to understand the business, with the ability to proactively drive and influence change within the organization through excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient numerical reasoning and logical thinking.
  • Experience in management reporting and financial forecasting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of accounting and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), financial reporting and financial modelling.
  • Clear communicator that is able to distill and explain complex problems for stakeholders at all levels.
  • A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
  • A strong desire to create functional and scalable systems, with a view to continuously improve current systems and automate accounting processes
  • Demonstrates resilience in challenging situations. Able to handle ambiguity and adapt to rapidly changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment
