The purpose of the Marketing BU is to sustainably maximise cash flows from the marketing of Anglo American products and services.



PURPOSE

Be a key member of the Marketing IM development team, providing DevOps for an Azure environment and taking on release management of a third-party vendor solution.

KEY TASKS

Performance & Delivery

Inhouse applications:

Support developers to effectively utilise the Azure DevOps for the life cycle of software development

Implement build, release, approval pipeline (YMAL) to manage deployment as well as managing

Role/permissions for the team

Provide support for investigating production issue by analysis logs and trace in Azure resources as well as working with other IT teams (Network, Security)

Knowledge in deploying Azure resources from a template as Infrastructure as Code

Coding (C#) and script (PowerShell) to automate the in-house process

Ensure performance and resource monitoring, and alerting is fit for purpose

Ensure Azure costs are monitored and resource implementation is as efficient as possible

Work with the development and support teams to identify, plan and execute service improvements to the systems that are developed

Comply with Anglo American Security and Operating Standards

Drive the adoption of best practice and enforce the use of standard systems in any solution deployed

Work with project and support teams to manage service introduction and deployment ensuring best practice by any third-party teams, including the delivery of acceptable test scenarios and scripts

Ensure implementation and support documentation is kept up to date

Manage Azure DevOps configurations

Help guide the long-term Azure direction and architecture

Guide, configure and test the DR/HA strategy for each element of the Azure infrastructure

Third party vendor application environment and release management:

Raise and track all environment refreshes

Coordinate environment requests

Azure DevOps configuration and user access management

Coordinate all other work ie: upgrades, fixes

Coordinate release activities, including planning, environment refreshes, release item sign-off

Manage Release calendar

Deal with any issues/queries/problems relating to release planning

Qualifications

Role-specific knowledge:
