Provide expert guidance on general fabrication processes involving diverse materials such as wood, metal, fabrics, and electronics.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures for equipment and safety protocols.
Educational Support:
Conduct workshops and training sessions for students and staff on fabrication techniques and machinery use.
Mentor and supervise students and junior technicians in their projects, ensuring high standards of work and safety.
Innovation and Research:
Lead development initiatives to explore new fabrication techniques and materials.
Collaborate with academic staff and students on projects and research, offering technical expertise and guidance.
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in fabrication technology, integrating new ideas and practices into lab operations.
Equipment Maintenance and Safety:
Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of lab equipment.

Manage the procurement of new equipment and supplies, including budgeting and vendor relations.

Participation in STEAM Outreach:
Actively participate in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) outreach programs.

Support in Digital Transformation:
Aid in implementing digital transformation initiatives within the lab.
Utilize basic data analytics to assist in optimizing lab processes and equipment usage.
Requirements: * Educational Background:
Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Product Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in a fabrication lab, workshop, or similar environment is preferred.
Proven expertise in 3D printing technologies and digital transformation initiatives.
Technical Skills:
Good knowledge of digital fabrication tools and software, including CAD.
Understanding of AR/VR technologies and data analytics is a plus.
