Summary We are searching for a team player and self-starter to fill the post of Specialist II (E2)! You will be part of Scoot\'s Communications team which manages and drives the company\'s external communication functions, including Public Relations, Media Relations, Issues and Flight Disruption Management, Crisis Communications and Reputation Management. You will have the opportunity to work with various internal and external stakeholders, participate in cross-functional projects and lead your own market activities and adhoc projects.

Key Responsibilities include:
Lead and drive external communication functions in assigned markets, including the management of in-market PR agencies together with local teams to serve individual markets communication and PR needs
Proactively cultivate and manage professional relationships with media, KOLs and industry stakeholders in Singapore and overseas
Proactively stay up to date on industry news and developments to identify publicity opportunities
Proactively monitor for media mentions and flag out relevant issues
Draft and update corporate communication collaterals (e.g. press releases, Q&As, factsheets, briefing documents, speeches, etc)
Conceptualise and organise PR and media events or activities
Liaise with media and facilitate requests for interviews with executives, statements, etc.
Manage media relations mailbox and duty phone, in rotation with other Communications team members
Evaluate and execute requests for sponsorship and commercial collaborations
Manage selected pages on website to ensure information is up to date
Support internal stakeholders to identify and address their communication and PR needs with the appropriate initiatives
Support with issues management and crisis communications in the event of adverse publicity, including the provision of counsel to management on potential sensitivities
Support Group level initiatives
Lead or support regular reporting to management and any other adhoc projects assigned
Maintain a repository of assets (e.g. corporate photos, management bios, factsheets, etc)
Requirements:
The successful candidate should possess the following:
Recognised degree in public relations, communications or a related discipline
Minimum 2 to 3 years working experience in a PR agency, or an in-house Communications or PR department. Entry level candidates with a recognised degree in a related discipline will be considered as well
Good command of English and ideally one other language
Good oral and written communication skills
Aviation, travel or hospitality industry experience is preferred, but not a requirement
Regional / multi-market experience would be a plus
