JOB TITLE: SR. MANAGER, SALES, PETROCHEMICALS, RO SEA & GAM

JOB PURPOSE

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to maximixe growth and profitability for short term and long term at the level of geography, applications, product and customer and execute roadmap for growth.
  • Lead & develop the Sales & Business Development team to reinforce market coverage, identify & develop new customers/ applications and manage key customer relationships and translate complex consumer issues into business propositions
  • Optimize business operating model, ensure compliance, manage credit risk and drive collaborations across supporting functions including BU, MDTS, supply chain, sustainability, communications, tax, legal, finance, to achieve SABIC strategic priorities.
  • Enterprising & influential communicator to help builds partnership and achieve consensus across stakeholders
  • Develop and implement multi-county account management framework including global and regional accounts
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create, own and drive execution of country strategic plans including go-to-market strategy by leveraging in-depth understanding of the market supported by multidisciplinary business processes including BU, MDTS, supply chain, market intellignece and business planning. Engage with external stakeholders (industry forum, associations, market research companies, customers, regulatory bodies etc.) to monitor market trends, economical & policitcal outlook, demand and supply, competitive activties and strategies as well as evolving environmental and compliance/legal policies that can create opportunities or threat for SABIC businesses and recommend appropriate response to them. Lead polymer business development team to identify growth opportunities, including new product, new application and market development. Initiate marketing strategies that boost sales at the national, regional and local levels and analyze the efficacy of these strategies.
  • Lead sales and business development team, set goals, priorities and KPI\'s for business development team. Drive and motivate the business development team to achieve the country\'s KPI and goals. Manage credit risk, oversee demand forecast roll-up, monthly allocation, outstanding order management and develop country Polymer Business Plan and feed the information back to stakeholders for its planning and use.
  • Lead Global Accounts team in Rest of Asia region, set goals, priorities and KPIs, and drive team to achieve them. Develop global accounts strategy and align actions with other functional stakeholders in order to drive initiatives for future growth. Develop high level global relationships with selected global accounts and create new opportunities for joint collaboration efforts to accelerate business growth. Drive efficiency of internal processes to improve global customer satisfaction and service levels.
  • Determine target strategic customers and develop/ manage key customer relationships. Develop long term contract and prioritize resource allocation for developing new opportunity pipeline. Monitor and update market price and keep abreast of overall market trends and requirements and recommend pricing strategies as appropriate.
  • Create operational excellence and manage business risk (credit, compliance) by collaborating with cross functional team to ensure that customer satisfaction is achieved and all functions are executing in line with the strategy. Manage multiple business models including legacy polymer (agent model), ETP (reseller/manufacturer) and multiple product lines PE, PP, ETP, E3P.
  • Identify initiatives and improvements that promote SABIC\'s image in the country, and be the key liasion person with industry associations and regulatory authorities where required. Maintain the positive reputation and ethic by complying with all company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, review and sign off on all reports due for timely submission to Polymers management team and take the lead for specific sales priorities (on a regional level) and initiatives as assigned. Drive initiatives to improve EHS and ERM performance. Increase community relation through participation in public relation and Corporate Social Responsibility projects that will enhance SABIC\'s image and reputation in the country.
  • Development of self & Polymer team members including identification and implementation of training and development program, identifying key potentials and developing them in conjunction with higher management and Human Resources. Participation in professional certifications and maintaining professional networks and attending relevant educational events.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • University degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymers or a business related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years\' experience in Sales of Polymers related products, preferably in areas of flexible packaging and/or compounding markets. Leadership position managing sales/ business teams would be an added advantage.
