Sr. Project Lead Engineer (ICSS)

As a Sr. Project Lead Engineer (ICSS), you will be responsible for ensuring that activities related to engineering discipline(s) within the project are efficiently and cost- effectively executed, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. Reporting to Engineering Manager, you will be the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments classified as medium engineering complexity. This position is based in Singapore.

Your responsibilities

• Ensuring that engineering is developed with complete information - all multidisciplinary information has been included in the engineering development
• Creating project engineering proposals through coordination of proposal documents and engineering estimates. Performing engineering risk analysis before submitting proposal
• Supporting Contract Manager in issuing claims (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.)
• Defining project tasks and ensures allocation of these tasks among project team members
• Evaluating risks and opportunities, strategizes mitigation of one\xe2\x80\x99s engineering projects/programs
• Working with customers to shape and deliver solutions, seeking feedback and innovating with the customer to drive and deliver improvements
• Overseeing the creation of subcontracts and manages the subcontractors jointly with other involved functions, including supply chain management
• Collaborating and networking with engineering colleagues within ABB and externally

Your background

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering
• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
